How long does testing take?
Standard turnaround is counted from when our intake team completes validation of your vials: 4X and DX target 5 business days from vial validation to release (analysis by business day 3), and 8X targets 8 business days from vial validation to release (analysis by business day 5). When staff confirms rush availability, targets are 48-hour for 4X and 72-hour for 8X. Rush for one sample is $95 on 4X, $195 on 8X, and $95 on DX; checkout shows the exact rush charge for the whole order. Add-ons such as endotoxin ($50 per sample) and heavy metals ($50 per sample) are included in the panel target and come out on the same certificate: 4X with both is targeted at 5 business days from vial validation to release. We don't quote separate times for each test, because the tests release together on one certificate. Paid intake is open; unresolved method, criterion, or material evidence is surfaced to our staff for resolution and does not block entry, signing, or release. USP <71> is separate and requires not less than 14 days of incubation after test initiation, followed by review and any required investigation.
Is rush testing always available, and what does it cost?
Rush is confirmed by our staff for your exact order before you pay for it. Once confirmed, we commit to it: a 48-hour window for 4X, a 48-hour window for DX and a 72-hour window for 8X, counted from when your vials arrive (or from when rush is turned on, if that is later). Endotoxin (USP <85>) and heavy-metal (USP <232>/<233>) add-ons are included in the same window. If we miss a confirmed rush window for a reason on our side, the rush fee for that sample comes back to you as account credit. Two things can extend any result, rush or not: a failed control, or an investigation that needs a repeat test. The 8X post-reconstitution stability hold of at least 24 hours is part of the 8X window. Rush for one sample is $95 on 4X, $195 on 8X, and $95 on DX; checkout shows the exact rush charge for the whole order. USP <71>'s 14-day incubation cannot be compressed or rushed.
Is turnaround measured from when I place the order?
No. Standard turnaround is counted from when our intake team completes validation of your vials, and a paid rush window from when the vial arrives (or from when the rush is activated, if that is later). Inbound shipping is under your control and outside ours, so counting it would let a slow courier turn into a broken promise from us. It also means the clock you are quoted is the clock we can actually keep.
Why does an 8X result take longer than a 4X result?
8X is targeted at 8 business days rather than 5 because it adds endotoxin, an elemental sweep, and a post-reconstitution stability hold of at least 24 hours. A target is not a guarantee for every sample: an investigation, repeat, or failed control can extend final review, and a stability hold cannot be hurried without ceasing to be a stability result.
Do you offer a compendial USP 71 sterility test?
Yes. The published USP <71> module is $175 per selected sample and has a 14-day minimum that cannot be rushed. Axiom accepts a declared service and freezes its conservative accession allocation. Unresolved service scope, procedure, product/matrix suitability, media controls, incubation evidence, criteria, or material profile prevents a compendial sterility PASS and is surfaced to our staff for resolution; entry, signing, and release are not blocked. Rapid DNA may likewise be accessioned, but it remains a separate research screen and is never USP <71>, sterility, or viable CFU. Checkout is authoritative for the exact order total.
Where do I ship my sample?
The receiving address is issued with your order, so the vial arrives keyed to the right accession rather than to a general mailbox. Start at https://axiomanalyticslab.com/submit. Ship sealed, unopened vials only.
